The Honda Pilot engine includes a variable cylinder management system, which deactivates engine cylinders in certain driving conditions to help improve fuel economy.
ECON Mode
You can get more kilometres out of every litre with the Pilot's ECON mode button, found on all trims. When you press the Econ button, the engine and other non-essential functions are adjusted to help reduce fuel consumption so that you can spend more time on the road.
Idle Stop System
To help reduce unnecessary emissions, the Honda Pilot has Idle Stop, which automatically turns off the engine when the car's stopped for more than two seconds. Afterwards, when you relive the brake, the engine will automatically restart-noting that there's a button to disable this feature if desired.
