Honda is dedicated to improving the lives of Canadians, from a national level all the way down to the communities that surround Honda dealerships across the country. The Honda Canada Foundation is representative of helping throughout family, environment, engineering and education areas for the betterment of Canadians. With us at Alberta Honda, we’ve been proud to contribute on our own scale with Project BERT, refurbishing and donating ambulances to developing countries, and in our support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Read on below for just an example of how Alberta Honda is giving back to the Edmonton community and the world abroad.
Alberta Honda is happy to contribute to the reconstruction and donation of ambulances for Project BERT. Project BERT stands for Belize Emergency Response Team, a non-profit, non-government organization that provides pre-hospital care and transport. Roman Bayrock of the Edmonton Riverview Rotary Club collects ambulances that have been retired from Alberta Health Services. Alberta Honda helps in refurbishing these ambulances, as well as contributing parts (including tires and batteries) and storage for these vehicles. These ambulances have gone to places like Belize, Africa and Mexico. Alberta Honda is pleased to not only help out the local community, but worldwide, too!
Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation
The Stollery Children’s Hospital is one of the most storied hospitals across the world, and Alberta Honda is proud to be a continued supporter of its foundation. Over $2.7 million has been contributed to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation from the Yachimec Auto Group over the 20 years of their relationship. It’s important to Alberta Honda to support our customers and their families, across the community for those who need it most. We aim to treat people with class inside and outside the dealership, and build a community that supports each other.
